GleanMark is a professional trademark search and monitoring platform that helps you protect your brand. This guide will help you get started in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Navigate the Platform
Use the sidebar to access key features:
- Dashboard - Your home page with portfolio overview
- Search - Search the USPTO trademark database
- Portfolios - Organize your trademarks into collections
- Owners - Track trademark owners you want to monitor
- Alerts - View and manage your alert inbox
- Analysis - AI-powered trademark analysis tools
- Settings - Account preferences and billing
Step 2: Search for Trademarks
From the Search page, you can search by:
- Trademark mode - Search by trademark name, mark identification, or serial number
- Owner mode - Search by trademark owner name
Step 3: Create a Portfolio
Organize your trademark monitoring by creating portfolios:
- Go to Portfolios in the main navigation
- Click New Portfolio
- Give your portfolio a name and description
- Add trademarks from search results
Step 4: Set Up Alerts
GleanMark monitors your trademarks with 5 alert categories:
- Legal Status - Status code changes
- Deadlines - Renewal dates, filing deadlines
- TTAB - Opposition and cancellation proceedings
- Ownership - Assignment and ownership changes
- Similar Marks - Competitive monitoring for similar filings
Configure alert preferences in Settings > Alerts & Notifications.
Step 5: Track Owners
Monitor specific trademark owners with 6 alert categories:
- New Applications - New trademark filings by owner
- Assignments - Assignment to or from owner
- Owner Info - Name and address changes
- Portfolio Events - Publication, registration, renewal, abandonment
- TTAB Activity - TTAB proceedings involving owner
- Citation Alerts - Owner marks cited against other applications
