The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) handles opposition and cancellation proceedings against trademarks. TTAB Proceeding Alerts notify you immediately when legal action is filed against your trademark—or when the status of an existing proceeding changes.

When You'll Receive This Alert

You'll receive a TTAB Proceeding Alert when:

• A new opposition is filed against your trademark during its publication period
• A cancellation proceeding is initiated against your registered trademark
• An existing TTAB proceeding status changes (e.g., answer filed, discovery phase, trial, decision)

Why These Alerts Matter

TTAB proceedings have strict deadlines. Missing a response deadline can result in default judgment against your trademark. These alerts ensure you're immediately aware of any legal challenges so you can take timely action.
