What Are Similar Mark Alerts?

Similar Mark Alerts notify you when a new trademark application is filed that resembles a mark you're monitoring. This helps you catch potential infringement early and gives you time to evaluate whether to oppose.

When You'll Receive This Alert

You'll receive a Similar Mark Alert when:

  • A new USPTO application is filed with a similar name to your monitored mark
  • The similarity is detected through text comparison and sound-alike analysis
  • The new filing may be in related or overlapping goods/services classes
