What Are Ownership Change Alerts?
Ownership Change Alerts notify you when a trademark in your portfolio is assigned or transferred to a different owner. This includes sales, corporate mergers, and internal reorganizations.
When You'll Receive This Alert
You'll receive an Ownership Change Alert when:
- Assignment recorded - The trademark is sold or transferred to another party
- Merger or acquisition - Corporate restructuring changes the owner of record
- Name change recorded - Owner name is formally changed at USPTO
Why This Alert Matters
- Client portfolios - Know immediately if a client's mark changes hands

- Tracking competitor marks you're monitoring for acquisition
- Watching marks during M&A due diligence
- Managing client portfolios where ownership verification matters
How to Enable Ownership Change Alerts
- Go to your Portfolio
- Click Alert Settings
- Toggle Ownership Change Alerts on
- Choose delivery: Immediate or Weekly Digest
