What Are Owner Info Change Alerts?
Owner Info Change Alerts notify you when a tracked owner's recorded information changes at the USPTO. This includes name changes, address updates, and entity type modifications.
When You'll Receive This Alert
You'll receive an Owner Info Change Alert when:
- Name change - The owner's legal name is updated (e.g., rebranding, merger)
- Address change - The owner's principal address is modified
- Entity type change - The legal entity type is updated (e.g., LLC to Corporation)
Why This Alert Matters
- Corporate restructuring - Track when companies rebrand or reorganize
- Due diligence - Verify current ownership information is accurate
