What Are Assignment Alerts?
Assignment Alerts (for Owner Tracking) notify you when trademarks are transferred to or from a tracked owner. This differs from portfolio-level ownership alerts—here you're watching the company, not individual marks.
When You'll Receive This Alert
You'll receive an Assignment Alert when:
- A tracked owner acquires trademarks from another party
- A tracked owner sells or transfers trademarks to another party
- Any assignment or change of ownership is recorded at USPTO involving the tracked owner
Why This Alert Matters
- M&A activity - Track when competitors acquire or divest IP assets
- Portfolio expansion - See when tracked companies grow through acquisition
- Client oversight - Know when clients are buying or selling marks

- Go to Settings → Owner Alert Settings
- Toggle Assignments on
- Choose delivery: Immediate or Weekly Digest
